A major milestone was recently achieved by the Energy Group’s plant in Pune, India. This is their very first Nash Engineered-to-Order (ETO) package. The TC-11E system was assembled and successfully tested last month.
In October of last year, after several discussions and negotiations, Gardner Denver received the first customer ETO order from our India customer, MIPL. These two Nash packages will be installed in a Tamil Nadu Electricity Board power plant.
Supported by various functional teams in Boshan, China, the newly established India operation team started their journey of trial engineering and production of this product. The core product, the Nash Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump, was imported from China, and all other purchased goods and materials were locally sourced from the India market.
After the Boshan team conducted training, production preparations and sourcing activities, the product was assembled, connected via welded pipeline and, finally, moved into the test area.
Mr. Sun Qiming, from Boshan, trained the India team on testing. After two weeks of working together, the India team is now able to test the product independently.
Vince Trupiano, VP and GM of Gardner Denver Nash, added his thoughts: “This is a great milestone for the Pune team. A couple of years of planning and the training of the new Pune team by our Boshan colleagues on Nash LRP vacuum and ETO packaging technology has reaped exceptional benefits. I can hear the excitement and pride in the voices of the Boshan and Pune leadership when they talk about their results. They have truly forged a strong relationship. This first Nash ETO Package will be a lasting memory during the future years of growth in the region for Gardner Denver.”
